Why is it important to preserve lighthouses?

Lighthouses are living history. They are a glimpse into our nation’s past when the only means of effective transportation between distant places was by water. When a lighthouse disappears, a piece of our heritage is lost forever. People need to see and touch objects from the past in order to really understand where we are today.

Concord Point Lighthouse has been saved, but its future will only be ensured by your continued support and concern. Everyone can help by making a gift to the Friends. Your donations go directly towards the preservation and restoration of the Lighthouse
