Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer with The Friends- it is fun and rewarding! We are a small organization with lots of ways for you to participate.

April – October: Volunteers are needed every weekend at the Lighthouse and Keeper’s House. Serve as a greeter and moderator at the lighthouse, or work in our gift shop at the Keeper’s House. All proceeds from the gift shop go towards the preservation of the buildings.

Behind the scenes: Help us maintain our grounds.

Year-round: Help is needed for fundraisers, special events, and administrative work.

Examples of some of the ways you can help…

  • Be a “keeper” at the Lighthouse
  • Work sales in the Gift Shop
  • Serve as a docent for educational tours
  • Plan/ assist with special events
  • Provide maintenance services
  • Assist with office/ administration tasks
  • Assist with communications and social media
  • Conduct historical research

We also have opportunities for short-term volunteer and service projects!

Scouts: We have an experienced board member that works with Scouts to complete projects of all levels. You can come to us with an idea or we have ideas. Including indoor, outdoor, history, maintenance, and more!
