Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Orientation for The Friends of Concord Point Lighthouse
Keep the Light Shining 2020 Volunteer Orientation April 4, 2020, 10 am-noon

Volunteering with The Friends is fun and rewarding! We are a small, all-volunteer organization with lots of ways for you to participate.

Volunteers are needed every weekend from April to October to greet visitors at the Lighthouse and Keeper’s House. All proceeds from the gift shop go towards the preservation of the buildings. Behind the scenes, the Garden Club maintains baywise gardens on the grounds. Also, the Lighthouse is cleaned and maintained on a regular basis with volunteer help. In addition, year-round help is needed for fundraisers, special events and administrative work. We are grateful for any time you can spare, whenever it fits into your schedule. Examples of some of the ways you can help…

  • Be a “keeper” at the Lighthouse
  • Work sales in the Gift Shop
  • Serve as a docent for educational tours
  • Plan/ assist with special events
  • Join the Gardening Club
  • Provide maintenance services
  • Assist with office/ admin task
  • Assist with communication

We also have opportunities for short-term volunteer and service projects!
